Fight Puppy Mill Cruelty

It’s hard to believe that certain things happen in the United States. One of those things is the existence of puppy mills. In puppy mills female dogs are housed in overcrowded and unsanitary conditions often without adequate food, water, veterinary care or socialization. They are caged their entire lives and bred at every opportunity until they are no longer physically able to reproduce. Then, after the mothers are no longer profitable, they are commonly killed or abandoned.
Thankfully, Pennsylvania governor Edward Rendell has taken an important step in cracking down on this industry in Pennsylvania (the puppy mill capital of the east). If we take notice and applaud his efforts, perhaps other leaders all across the nation will follow in his footsteps
