Fragile calving grounds in danger

Update: This alert is now expired. Thanks to everyone who took action! You can take action on current alerts from our homepage.

With access to 95% of Alaska’s North Slope and more than 80% of all the offshore oil and natural gas resources in the United States, you would think big oil would be satisfied with where they can drill (and spill) now. Not so much.

They want more. A LOT more. Including the fragile wildlife habitat of Teshekpuk Lake - one of the most remarkable wetlands on the planet, home to millions of waterfowl and calving grounds for tens of thousands of caribou.

If you think the largest-corporate-profits-in-the-history-of-the-world oil companies already have enough of our land…

Click here to tell Congress not to turn Teshekpuk Lake (along with other fragile eco-systems) over to them.
