Save wildlife by playing a game. (Seriously!)

Once again, I stray from the traditional action alert but this is just too cool to pass up - plus it is a great way to make a difference. Xeko is a new, eco-adventure collectible card game that just totally rocks. I could tell you more about it but you should really just watch this.

But Xeko isn’t just a fun game - 4% of sales are donated to Conservation International’s programs to help save the places and animals featured in Xeko. Animals like the Tomato Frog, Aye Aye, and Hairy Eared Dwarf Lemur. You can learn more about Xeko here. It’s a lot of fun.

National Parks Need Our Help!

Update: This alert is now expired. Thanks to everyone who took action! You can take action on current alerts from our homepage.

America’s majestic national parks are facing a massive crisis right now. They’ve basically been neglected by Congress for years and now things have reached a tipping point: There’s a severe maintenance backlog, ranger shortages threaten visitors’ experience and safety, and air pollution is wreaking havoc in many parks.

But don’t worry, there’s one plan that can fix it all! Tell Congress to support this plan.

41Pounds.org – a really neat idea

This alert is a little different than the ones I normally run but I really like this concept and wanted to let you all know about it. This year, the average person will receive 41 POUNDS of junk mail. Collectively, more than 4 million tons (62,000,000,000 (billion) pieces) of junk mail are produced yearly. This leads to forest destruction, water wastage, and millions of tons of global warming gasses being produced. But there is something you can do right now to help put an end to this.

By signing up for the 41Pounds.org service, you will eliminate 80 – 95% of these unsolicited mailings sent to you. The service costs $41 with half their profits being donated to non-profit groups, and by looking at the testimonials it’s more than worth it. Sign up today.
