Thanks to everyone who participated in our “.03 free donation” campaign. We ended up getting 428 clicks which generated a $12.84 donation. It, obviously, didn’t quite go viral like I was hoping for but I did learn a lot and we WILL try this again.
In the meantime, we rounded it up to $50 and made the donation! Look for a good ol’ fashioned action alert this Friday. Until then!
I think the Solar Electric Light Fund is one of the greatest charities around. Not only do they help lift people up out of poverty but they also help fight global warming at the same time (a win-win if ever there was one).
And I have an idea to help them out. Thanks to the generosity of Nubius Organics, everyone who visits the Nubius website through the link below will generate a free, 3 cent donation to SELF. You can only have one visit count but you CAN forward this on to as many people as you like.
Sound too good to be true? It’s not. We’ll be posting the donation receipt online and sending a link to it in a follow up e-mail. The only thing is that we are capping the donation at $500 this time round (if this works well, we’ll do it again). We’ll count clicks through next Friday at Noon Eastern time (then we’ll let you know how much we raised).
