Sign up to Save Rainforest - How this works
So you’re probably wondering how you can save rainforest just by signing up to receive the alerts by e-mail or RSS or telling a friend about the site. Here’s how it works.
It’s simple! Every time an acre (43,560 square feet) of rainforest is saved through this site, TheActionBlog.com will donate enough money to the Friends of Calakmul so that they can buy and protect an actual acre of rainforest.
I’m even going to post the receipts on the site for everyone to see.
Update: July 25, 2006. One acre saved! Here’s a link to the screenshot.
Note: They only let you save 3 acres at a time, so I went ahead and did that. I’m sure you guys will come through for the other two acres by spreading the word and signing up for the newsletter and RSS feeds :-)
