Natural Causes of Global Warming
There are indeed natural causes of global warming, occurrences and activities in which human activities are not involved in any way.
Sunspots
Solar radiation levels in Earth change and these changes can cause climate temperatures to change. Generally speaking, increased levels of solar activity can lead to warming cycles, albeit on a short term basis.
Volcanic Eruptions
Major volcanic eruptions don’t just produce vast amounts of lava. Before that happens, it first blows up huge amounts of dust up in the sky, disrupting air travel and even shielding the earth from solar radiation. This consequently leads to climate change once again.
Imperfect Rotation
The earth does not rotate at a perfect angle. It actually wobbles a bit and these tiny wobbles expose southern and northern latitude to greater or lesser solar radiation, depending on the situation. All these would consequently lead to changes in the atmosphere and climate.
Human Causes of Global Warming
Unfortunately, studies show that human activities are still largely to blame for increased levels of global warming.
Unnecessary Travel
Every time you drive your car, you contribute to the growing rate of air pollution, which is one of the major causes of global warming. Cars consume gas and consequently release fumes that contain greenhouse gases.
If you don’t want to add to the world’s environmental problems then be a responsible and environmentally ethical driver. Use your car only for long distance trips and those that require you to drive in utmost comfort. For short distance trips, consider walking, riding a bicycle, or commuting. Consider car pooling as well: less cars on the roads mean less air pollution as well.
Chemical Pollutants
Try to prioritize purchase of products that are grown using completely organic means. Packaging details would usually let you know when they are organically grown but a little bit of research on the company’s background won’t be amiss either. Making a stated preference for organically grown products will encourage other companies to follow suit.
Avoid use of products that release chemical pollutants as well. This includes fertilizers and pesticides you use in your home and garden.
Waste of Energy
Remember that energy can’t be destroyed or created. It can only be transformed. Unfortunately, many activities lead to inefficient consumption of energy and subsequent production of carbon gases. When you conserve energy, you reduce the amount of carbon gases in the atmosphere.
And again, energy conservation can be done right from home. Start by increasing use of solar energy and prioritizing purchase of energy efficient devices.

Is the Proposed Trans Global Highway a solution for population concerns and global warming?
One excellent solution to future population concerns as well as alleviating many of the effects of potential global warming is the Frank Didik proposal for the construction of the “Trans Global Highway”. The Didik proposed Trans Global Highway would create a world wide network of standardized roads, railroads, water pipe lines, oil and gas pipelines, electrical and communication cables. The result of this remarkable, far sighted project will be global unity through far better distribution of resources, including heretofore difficult to obtain or unaccessible raw materials, fresh water, finished products and lower global transportation costs.
With greatly expanded global fresh water distribution, arid lands could be cultivated resulting in a huge abundance of global food supplies. The most conservative estimate is that with the construction of the Trans Global Highway, the planet will be able to feed several billion more people, using presently available modern farming technologies. With the present global population of just under 7 billion people and at the United Nations projection of population increase, the world will produce enough food surpluses to feed the expected increased population for several hundred years.
Thomas Robert Malthus’s famous dire food shortage predictions of 1798 and his subsequent books, over the next 30 years, failed to take into consideration modern advances in farming, transportation, food storage and food abundance.
